About Us
Fairbanks is located 15km south west of Keith in the Upper South East of South Australia, and comprises of 3,500 acres of mixed farming land. Historically, Fairbanks has a long and rich history in the region as a renown cattle stud, with multiple owners before 2016 where we acquired it and moved to the region to pursue a family run farming enterprise: Fairbanks Dorpers.
Who Are We
We are George and Mandy Stewart, the managers of Fairbanks with our 3 young kids, Lucy, Dyson and Lewis. Hailing from careers in the mining and FIFO industry we have made Keith home and enjoy rural living and the challenges of a new direction in life; farming. George attended a Western Australian agricultural school growing up and is keen in further education and learning through webinars and courses suiting our interests and needs. George successfully completed his Junior course recently through the Dorper Society on training in the breed standard and the ‘typing’ system, with the hope to complete a Senior course in the following year. Meanwhile, between raising 3 very active, outside kids I help out where I can and cover the administrative side of the business.
